Camden County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Hertford County Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Hertford County is ranked 150th).
Last Tuesday, Camden County ended up a good deal behind Northeastern and lost 61-45.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Xzavior Wiggins and Tyell Saunders. Saunders had a great game and scored 27 points along with seven steals. Meanwhile, Wiggins did his best for the losing side, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hertford County pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of First Flight. Hertford County has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Camden County's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Hertford County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.
Camden County ended up a good deal behind Hertford County in their previous matchup back in January, losing 65-50. Can Camden County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
