Stevenson won the last time they faced Wayne Memorial and things went their way on Thursday too. The Spartans put the hurt on the Zebras with a sharp 14-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Stevenson let Christian Lang and Tasso Kotsogiannis run wild. Lang went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Kotsogiannis scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs Lang has posted since back in May of 2024. Caden Gawkowski was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Stevenson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne Memorial only posted an OBP of .238.

Stevenson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wayne Memorial, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson will venture away from home to square off against Groves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wayne Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
