Franklinton is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Bunn is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Franklinton Red Rams will host the Bunn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Franklinton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Nash Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Franklinton's pitcher stepped up to hand Nash Central a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Rams considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Madison Lada was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Peebles, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Alydia Mitchell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Franklinton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
While Bunn didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Northern Nash 21-1 on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
MaKayla McDonald looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
At the plate, Peyton Alford was incredible, firing off three home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Harrah, who scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Franklinton's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bunn, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Franklinton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Bunn struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Franklinton couldn't quite finish off Bunn in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 10-8. Can Franklinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
