The Middle College Cougars won the last time they faced the New West Charter Eagles, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Middle College skirted past New West Charter 47-45.
It was another big night for Josiah Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lebron Hasan, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
The victory got Middle College back to even at 3-3. As for New West Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Middle College and Animo South Los Angeles will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. New West Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on TREE Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
