Jabriel Rufai was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Ethan Powell was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Newton Falls back to even at 4-4. As for Heartland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton Falls will take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
