Anacostia is 9-0 against School Without Walls since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Anacostia Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the School Without Walls Penguins at 5:30 p.m. Anacostia will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
On Monday, Anacostia didn't have too much trouble with Woodson on the road as they won 46-29.
Anacostia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nayjah Duvall, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Duvall has scored at least 25% of Anacostia's points. LaNiya Jackson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, School Without Walls took a serious blow against Jackson-Reed on Wednesday, falling 50-21. School Without Walls has not had much luck with Jackson-Reed recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Anacostia's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for School Without Walls, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Anacostia was able to grind out a solid victory over School Without Walls in their previous meeting back in January, winning 51-42. Will Anacostia repeat their success, or does School Without Walls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
