The Centennial Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They took down Palm Beach Lakes 57-41. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but Centennial was the (much) better team in the second half.
Centennial was led to victory by Jada Parson and Jailyn Williams. Parson scored 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Williams scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Parson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Knapp, who scored nine points.
Despite the defeat, Palm Beach Lakes had strong showings from Ezria Pierre-louis, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds, and Myla Jones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tra'Kyrrah Leconte, who scored six points.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Palm Beach Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Centennial and Treasure Coast will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Treasure Coast will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Atlantic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.6 points per game.
