If The Kennedy Cougars were riding high off their 35-0 takedown of the Davenport North Wildcats last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kennedy took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar Falls. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kennedy in their matchups with Cedar Falls: they've now lost three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Drake Gelhaus, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cedar Falls, their win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-3.
Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cedar Falls will face off against Southeast Polk at TBD on Friday. Southeast Polk will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
