After two games on the road, Fort Edward is heading back home. They will take on the Hadley Luzerne Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Edward has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Fort Edward strolled past the Generals with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for Fort Edward this season.
Meanwhile, Hadley Luzerne's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake George. While losing is never fun, Hadley Luzerne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Lakers are ranked 293rd).
Fort Edward's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Hadley Luzerne, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Things could have been worse for Fort Edward, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-39 loss to the Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Fort Edward avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
