The D'Evelyn Jaguars will take on the Golden Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
D'Evelyn lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Conifer, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Jaguars blew past the Lobos 14-5 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

D'Evelyn let Marshall Pharris and Leo Vigil run wild. Pharris went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Vigil went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Vigil has become a key player for D'Evelyn: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 3-11 otherwise. Jay Aurich was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
D'Evelyn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Golden entered their tilt with Longmont on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 7-1 victory. Seven seems to be a good number for the Demons as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Taden Svendsen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Andrew Romero was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Paulson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Golden pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for D'Evelyn, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. D'Evelyn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Golden struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
D'Evelyn came out on top in a nail-biter against Golden in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
