Baseball Recap: Fairview Has No Trouble Against Centaurus

Fairview won the last time they faced Centaurus and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 15-3 win.

The team relied heavily on Jack Espiritu-Niswonger, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Leo Muth, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fairview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.

Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.3 runs. As for Centaurus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairview is set to square off against their familiar foe Horizon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Centaurus will take on rival Monarch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
