The Carver Crusaders put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 55-0 win over Franklin County Tech. Considering Carver has won seven games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Carver had a senior duo take command as Tyler Lennox threw for 253 yards and six touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes and Robert Peterson picked up 114 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Kenneally, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Carver's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.2 points per game. As for Franklin County Tech, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver will take on KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Franklin County Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cape Cod RVT at 5:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Cape Cod RVT is ranked 265th, while Franklin County Tech is ranked 250th).
