With a playoff win on the line, Largo rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 70-64 win over the Dunbar Poets. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
It was another big night for Cameron Ward, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 18 rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Johnson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 20 points and seven rebounds.
Largo's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Dunbar, they moved to 22-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 14-game winning streak.
Largo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-48 win against New Town on the 14th. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
