Bruce came into Monday's matchup having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 73-56 win over the Vardaman Rams on Monday. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.

Bruce's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Hooper, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Welch, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Bruce smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Bruce's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Vardaman, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Bruce didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-49 loss against Eupora on the 17th. As for Vardaman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-38 defeat against Houlka on the 17th.
