The Wallace Miners won the last time they faced the St. Maries Lumberjacks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Wallace took down St. Maries 55-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wallace.
Several Lumberjacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Raevyn Yearout, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Yearout continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Tayla Janssen was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Wallace's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Maries, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace will challenge East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Maries, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
