It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Therrell Panthers can now relate to. They took a 21-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Model on Saturday. Therrell's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Marlon Palmer threw for 58 yards on seven of 11 attempts. Quentorion Mcclendon was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Ahmad Bridges 0 rushed for 84 yards on only 11 carries.
Therrell's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Model, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Therrell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Model will square off against Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Callaway's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
