Elias Haynes Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Downey's Elias Haynes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Haynes rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Downey's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Haynes and Downey will head out on the road to challenge Gregori at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
