For the first time this season, Oakridge will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Trinity Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakridge will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Oakridge took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Dallas Lions Homeschool. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Owls as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Nelson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one triple. He has become a key player for Oakridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brayden Collins, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Oakridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Trinity Valley entered their game against South Hills on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans lost 11-5 to the Scorpions.
Trinity Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tappan Bailey, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Bailey has brought in this season.
Trinity Valley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Oakridge, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-6.
Trinity Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oakridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. It's a different story for Trinity Valley, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Oakridge's hitters?
Everything went Oakridge's way against Trinity Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Oakridge made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
