The Comenius Knights's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Apprentice Academy 91-34 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-18.
Comenius found their leader in underclassman Donovin Jones, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals. Parker Long was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Apprentice Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ayden Eddington, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Radear Watson, who scored 11 points.
The win got Comenius back to even at 2-2. As for Apprentice Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Comenius will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. Apprentice Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th.
