After having lost a blowout in their game last week, Vashon were happy to find some success on Saturday. They managed a somewhat close 24-20 victory over Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Vashon as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Finally capturing their first win of the season, Vashon advanced to 1-7. Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law are on a three-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-7.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Vashon will be playing at home against St. Louis University at at 1:00 PM next week. St. Louis University are limping into the contest on a eight-game losing streak. As for Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law, they will face off against Perryville. Those two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law and four for Perryville.
