The Arapahoe Warriors and the Wallace Wildcats will round out the year against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Arapahoe has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
Last Tuesday, Arapahoe narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Northern Valley 43-41.
Berkley Warner and Sage Larson were among the main playmakers for Arapahoe as the former scored eight points along with eight rebounds and six steals and the latter scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Wallace struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (Perkins County had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Wallace fell 55-42 to Perkins County.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kendyl Flaming, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Finley, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Wallace were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory got Arapahoe back to even at 4-4. As for Wallace, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Arapahoe have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 30.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Wallace struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 28.9 rebounds per game.
