The Palmer Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the South Panola Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Palmer is ranked 206th, while South Panola is ranked 219th).
After a string of three wins, Palmer's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 61-45 to West Tallahatchie.
Meanwhile, South Panola's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 72-52 loss to Center Hill might stick with them for a while. South Panola has not had much luck with Center Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cameron Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Demartric Houston was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Palmer bumped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for South Panola, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
