The Pisgah Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 64-50 to McLaurin. Pisgah lost against McLaurin in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-50 score last time.
It was another big night for Michael Wallace, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists for McLaurin. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Wallace has scored at least 25% of McLaurin's points. Another player making a difference was Kendell Clark, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Pisgah has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for McLaurin, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Wesson at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. McLaurin will be home for the holidays to greet Piney Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Piney Woods is ranked 153rd, while McLaurin is ranked 157th).
