Basketball Recap: Parker Amos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bethlehem Center over Jefferson-Morgan

After flying high against Mapletown last Friday, Bethlehem Center came back down to earth. The Bethlehem Center Bulldogs fell to the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets 61-55. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Amos, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Amos has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Kurowski, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Bethlehem Center smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Jefferson-Morgan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jase Bedilion, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Bedilion is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Houston Guesman, who had 13 points along with six assists and three steals.

Bethlehem Center's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Jefferson-Morgan, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Bethlehem Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-58 win against Fort Cherry on the 20th. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-29 victory against Mapletown on the 20th.
