Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Asheboro Hybrid Academy). They blew past the Shining Light Academy Knights 19-9 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their two-run performance the match before.

Landon Watson was a standout: he scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Asheboro Hybrid Academy is 4-1 when Watson posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Caleb Boggess, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 12.2.
