Basketball Recap: Clarke County Piles Up the Points Against Stonewall Jackson

Clarke County posted their biggest victory since January 22, 2024 on Monday. They blew past the Stonewall Jackson Generals 62-32. The Eagles didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Leading Clarke County to victory were Lincoln Booker and Colton Johnson. Booker went 9 for 14 en route to 21 points along with five boards and three steals, while Johnson went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points gave Booker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Taylor, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Clarke County was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Clarke County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Stonewall Jackson, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
