Baseball Recap: Deep Run Wins Going Away Against Landstown

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Deep Run walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Landstown Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Deep Run got a great performance from Parker Noonan as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 6.1 innings pitched. Noonan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henry Jennings was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Vince Porcaro, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Deep Run's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Landstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Deep Run will face off against Western Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bruins have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. Landstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
