The biggest upset of the week belonged to Marple Newtown, who defeated 198th ranked Marple Newtown, 27-19.
Penncrest moved up to 118 from 190 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Central. The Lions were able to make move up by besting Conestoga 14-0.
Springfield's dynamic duo of Charlie Carbin and James Harris proved to be unstoppable against Radnor, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Carbin threw for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns and Harris had 63 yards receiving. Dillion Gilroy helped Springfield's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 41 yards.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Carbin and Harris proved tough for the Red Raiders to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Danny Fisher was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 113 yards on 19 carries as Penncrest bested Radnor. Rashad Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 40 yards on the ground.
He went 15-26 with 1 interceptions.
Tom Perpiglia was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Fightin' Tigers lost to Harriton. The 5-foot-9 senior.
Carbin put up the best numbers in passing as Tom Kline's team bested Tom Ryan's team.
Harris was the best receiver in the league this week as the Cougars beat the Red Raiders.
6-foot-1 quarterback Carbin of Springfield is the league leader in passing yards this season with 375. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is DEANDRE PENDERGRASS. The Upper Darby star has 6 catches for 196 yards.
At the moment, the Cougars are in first, while Ridley is in seventh.
The Rams were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to 10th in Central. Harriton beat Marple Newtown 27-19 earlier in the week.
