Nordheim is 8-2 against Pettus since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Nordheim Pirates will be playing at home against the Pettus Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Nordheim has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Pettus will arrive with three straight wins.
Nordheim suffered their biggest loss yet this season back in December of 2023. They took a serious blow against Taft, falling 94-54.
Meanwhile, Pettus was able to grind out a solid win over Prairie Lea on Friday, taking the game 63-51.
Pettus found their leader in underclassman Ramon Reyna, who scored 25 points. Reyna has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Matt Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Nordheim bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Pettus, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
Everything came up roses for Nordheim against Pettus when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 51-19 win. Does Nordheim have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pettus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
