Basketball Game Preview: North Forsyth Vikings vs. Reidsville Rams

The North Forsyth Vikings will head out to face off against the Reidsville Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, North Forsyth didn't have quite enough to beat Morehead and fell 62-59. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kerry Smith, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Drahcir Williams was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Reidsville entered their tilt with T.W. Andrews on Wednesday with 30 consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with 31. They blew past the Red Raiders 95-75. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-29.

Reidsville's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points per game. As for North Forsyth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

North Forsyth was taken down by Reidsville 92-59 when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point North Forsyth was down 51-19.
