Given Archbishop McCarthy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Westwood is ranked 474th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for George Sterr, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Enrique Duboy, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Archbishop McCarthy and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Westwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
