In what's become a running theme this season, the Rock Port Blue Jays gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Stanberry, posting a 57-19 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Rock Port sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Rock Port found their leader in underclassman Jack Meyerkorth, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Meyerkorth hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Bannack Skillen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Rock Port has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Stanberry, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16.
Rock Port won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Rock Port is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season. As for Stanberry, they will be playing at home against Winston at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
