The Rock Canyon Jaguars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 62-31 win over Floresville on the road. With Rock Canyon ahead 32-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Rock Canyon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nolan Kliewer out in front who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Macoy Terry, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists.
Despite the loss, Floresville still got an impressive performance from Ryland Parker, who scored 14 points.
Floresville struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Rock Canyon racked up 20.
Rock Canyon's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Floresville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Rock Canyon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Warren at 9:00 a.m. on December 8th. Warren will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 843rd in Texas, while Rock Canyon is ranked tenth in Colorado). As for Floresville, they will face off against Marble Falls at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Marble Falls is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
