Basketball Recap: Frontier School of Excellence Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Frontier School of Excellence lost to St. Vincent de Paul Academy back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Frontier School of Excellence were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over the St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks. Frontier School of Excellence has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

St. Vincent de Paul Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Stegall, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Stegall has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. George Spencer was another key player, putting up eight points and six assists.

Frontier School of Excellence pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points over those games. As for St. Vincent de Paul Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Frontier School of Excellence will challenge Guadalupe Centers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Vincent de Paul Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
