Basketball Recap: Central Jersey College Prep Skates Past North Warren Regional with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Jersey College Prep). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 69-36 stomp they got against the North Warren Regional Patriots. With that win, Central Jersey College Prep brought their scoring average up to 51.3 points per game.

Central Jersey College Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javan Edmunds, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Edmunds a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Staton, who posted 19 points and five steals.

Central Jersey College Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Central Jersey College Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for North Warren Regional, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Central Jersey College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-56 victory against Paterson Arts & Science on the 30th. As for North Warren Regional, they will head out to challenge Newton at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th.
