Meanwhile, Weatherly came into Wednesday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Lincoln Leadership Academy with a sharp 16-4 win on Wednesday. Weatherly's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last nine games.

Weatherly let Kolton Reiner and Michael Davies run wild. Reiner scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Davies scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Davies has posted since back in March.

Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Weatherly, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9.
