The Nimitz Cougars will hit the road for the first time this season to  challenge  the Alief Elsik Rams  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Alief Elsik took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nimitz, who comes in off a win.
While Cougars fans will have to keep waiting for their  team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's  season opener. They skirted past Cleveland  4-3.
  Juan Arana looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in March of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Alief Elsik's offense. They lost  23-0 to Morton Ranch on Monday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
