Baseball Recap: Asotin Snags 14th Win in Last 16 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Asotin rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Okanogan Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

AJ OLERICH tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, CASE KELLEY was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MORGAN BUNCH, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.

Asotin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Okanogan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

As of now, neither Asotin nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
