Battery Creek won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Ridgeland/Hardeeville 13-12. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
The victory bumped Battery Creek's record up to 2-6. Ridgeland/Hardeeville are on a five-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 2-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Battery Creek take on May River at 7:30 PM. As for Ridgeland/Hardeeville, they will face off against Wade Hampton.
