The Trinity Catholic Celtics will head out to take on the Forest Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Trinity Catholic will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Providence School, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Trinity Catholic had just enough and edged out Providence School 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Celtics.

Trinity Catholic got a great performance from Nate Colon as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Colon has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Trinity Catholic's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Amodeo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Amodeo's stolen this season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Forest took on Dunnellon on Thursday. Forest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over Dunnellon. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since February 27, 2024.
Samuel Baderschneider looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Forest is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Brooks Kilcrease was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and one stolen base. Robert Kohler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Forest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. Trinity Catholic now has a winning record of 3-2.
Everything went Trinity Catholic's way against Forest in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Trinity Catholic made off with a 12-0 victory. Will Trinity Catholic repeat their success, or does Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
