The Live Oak Acorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Silver Creek. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Live Oak of the 72-63 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 10th.
Live Oak lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Jennings, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Raymond Ramirez, who scored 15 points.
Live Oak has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Live Oak's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Gilroy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Silver Creek, they will head out on the road to take on Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
