Mechanicville dropped their record down to 9-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Saratoga Central Catholic Saints by a score of 5-4. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Saratoga Central Catholic, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.2 runs this season.

For Saratoga Central Catholic's part, they let Hunter Fales and Ronan Rowe run wild. Fales went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Rowe went 4-for-6 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Fales has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Tyler Weygand also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

While Mechanicville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
