Pahoa will challenge Ka'u on the road at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Pahoa will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Ka'u will be their toughest opponent yet.
Pahoa won their last match against Kohala, and it was the same story this time around. Pahoa put a hurting on Kohala to the tune of 40-0. Pahoa were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Ka'u faced Lanai in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ka'u captured a comfortable 62-42 win over Lanai.
Their wins bumped Pahoa to 2-2 and Ka'u to 3-0. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
