The Clopton Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against North Callaway as Clopton made off with a 75-52 win. That's another feather in the cap for Clopton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North Callaway's loss came despite strong showings from Sam Pezold and Isiah Craighead. Pezold scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Craighead scored ten points along with two steals. Craighead hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Paul Russell was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
The victory got Clopton back to even at 4-4. As for North Callaway, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Clopton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Louisiana at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for North Callaway, they will take on Bowling Green at 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowling Green and North Callaway are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
