Edgewater is 1-8 against Bishop Moore since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Edgewater comes in on five and Bishop Moore on 12.
Edgewater took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against New Smyrna Beach, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Barracudas on Wednesday.

Yusef Charles was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Edgewater's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 3-6-1 when he doesn't). Nate Savino also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, while Bishop Moore put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Forest. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wildcats. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hornets yet this season.
Harrison Smith looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nate Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Gray Mosley, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Bishop Moore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Bishop Moore's record is now 12-0. As for Edgewater, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.
Edgewater came up short against Bishop Moore when the teams last played back in February of 2025, falling 9-4. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
