Newbury Park Adventist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-43 to the Geffen Academy Bruins. On the bright side, the 43- point performance marked the Gators' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Newbury Park Adventist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Geffen Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Newbury Park Adventist and Geffen Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Gators see the court they'll take on Canyon on December 1. As for Geffen Academy, their break will end when they face Wildwood at 6:30 p.m. on December 12.
