The Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles will be playing at home against Christian Fellowship at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Lighthouse Prep Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Christian Fellowship has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Last Monday, Lighthouse Prep Academy came up short against Heartland Christian Academy and fell 55-42. Lighthouse Prep Academy has not had much luck with Heartland Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alajun Proctor, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Taggart, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Christian Fellowship put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-39 margin over Columbia Independent. Given Christian Fellowship's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Columbia Independent is ranked 492nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christian Fellowship relied on the efforts of Luke Davis, who scored 20 points along with six steals, and Abe Seboldt, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Brendan Royer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Lighthouse Prep Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Christian Fellowship, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Lighthouse Prep Academy took a serious blow against Christian Fellowship when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 98-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Christian Fellowship's Jake Davis, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 4 assists.
