They were the clear victor by a 74-49 margin over Burlington City. Burlington Township has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.
Burlington Township's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Ferguson led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds. Ferguson hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Tj Morrison, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Burlington Township is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Burlington City, they bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington Township will challenge Overbrook at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Overbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Burlington Township likes a good challenge. As for Burlington City, they will head out on the road to challenge Pennsauken at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
