The Mater Academy Charter Lions won the last time they faced the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans, and things went their way  on Friday too. Mater Academy Charter simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hialeah-Miami Lakes 50-20 at home. Given Mater Academy Charter's advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 219th, while Hialeah-Miami Lakes is ranked 497th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Mater Academy Charter was led to victory by  Solomon Leinbock and  Sebastian  Tello.  Leinbock  scored 12 points, while  Tello  scored 12 points along with 7  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jan Alicea, who  scored 11 points.
 Mater Academy Charter now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
 Mater Academy Charter will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Sports Leadership & Management at 5:00  p.m. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against Hialeah at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
