Steele Canyon has won three straight games at home, while Grossmont has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Foothillers at 7:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Steele Canyon 7.4, Grossmont 8.5) so any points scored will be well earned.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Steele Canyon's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Joelle Frazier with four.
Meanwhile, Grossmont won against Granite Hills on Tuesday with 26 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Foothillers' defense stepped up to hand Santana a 26-0 shutout. The Foothillers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
A big part of Grossmont's win came down to the chemistry between Marissa Farace and her top target Gabi Thomas. Farace threw for 119 yards and a pair of TDs while Thomas picked up 30 receiving yards and one touchdown. An impressive showing, but Thomas really ramped things up playing D: she picked up a sack and made seven total tackles.
Grossmont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Leah Garcia and Ari Simpson were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Simpson has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times she's played. Another thorn in Santana's side was Saraya Roope, who picked up a sack, made nine total tackles, and defended one pass.
